Many religions have a form of prayer and meditation that's akin to the Catholic Rosary. In Catholicism it's known as a Rosary, in Paganism its often referred to simply as a Pagan Rosary, Buddhists use Malas, and there are many other religions that use a form of Rosary. These are often necklace form, but they can be bracelets or even a ring! There are many practices surrounding rosary or mala use. Often its used as a form of meditative prayer. It is used often as a way to focus intent. Some use it as a way to recite or chant mantras designed to center and alter energy. Praying a rosary, no matter who to, does several things spiritually. Its an offering of time, energy, and words of power. It puts you instantly in alignment with spirit and your higher self. It's a form of communication and communion with the deity you are praying to (or your higher self if none are specified). It puts the seeker into a trance like state for ease of connection with spirit. It's a form of protection, much like a lesser banishing ritual of the pentagram, that when invoked daily through rosary prayer, will protect the seeker. It actively forms a shield of protection around the seeker if invoked daily. It allows spirit to actively enter your life and directs the shaping of energy surrounding your focus and goals. It's a way to align with source in an active way, as a daily check-in and re-affirmation of focus and desire. You can use the rosary or mala prayers or mantras to ask for or focus your energy on specific things you desire, or to express gratitudes. Theres no limit to what you can use a rosary or mala for energetically! You can reprogram negative thought patterns by repeating positive affirmations or mantras you wish to embrace in your life! Praying or meditating on a rosary or mala daily is great for strengthening your spiritual practice, especially with a specific deity or surrounding specific goals. I've helped many clients on healing journeys through the use of Ho'oponopono. The practice is based in Huna philosophy and is wonderful at either cleansing an existing cord you share with someone, or completely releasing it with no karmic holds left connecting you. It has worked for clients to release extreme cases of abuse that haunt them just as well as it's worked for other clients releasing an ex-lover after a breakup as it works for those trying to reclaim their relationships they wish to cleanse and keep. Ho'oponopono is a meditation and is designed to be repeated to the self, not said to the other person. Always begin Ho'oponopono directed to the self, repeating till you feel a shift in energy, then move on to those who you wish to do the meditation on, again repeating until you feel a shift in energy no matter how small. It works on the energetic cord connected between you and the other person, either cleansing it so you can make it stronger, or cleansing it so you can release it completely. The choice is up to you!
